Covenant is a voluntary oath between God and man or between people.
All covenants between God and people require obedience.
Disobedience has consequences.
Covenants contain altars.
Adam and Eve broke their covenant with God when they ate forbidden fruit.
To clothe Adam and Eve, God sacrificed animals on an altar. Genesis 3:21
God’s judgement contained hope.
Genesis 3:14-15
God entered into covenant with Noah.
Genesis 6:18, 9:8-17
Noah built an altar. Genesis 8:20-22
God established a sign of His covenant with Noah.
God’s covenants with Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and David all lead to the new covenant established between God and “whosoever“ by the blood of Jesus. Matthew 26:27-28
