The temple was to be the place where God’s presence dwelt and where His people would connect with Him.

Though God’s eyes and heart remain steadfast for His people, He knows His people’s eyes and hearts are prone to wander.

God gave His people a blueprint for returning to Him in 2 Chronicles 7:14.

Ephesians 2:17-22

Jesus' death and resurrection established God’s new temple where God's eyes and heart remain today.

God working in and through His church has more to do with the heart of the church than with the condition of the world.
