We are called to love God with our all our heart and love others. Matthew 22:37-40

We are called to image Christ who put love on display. Romans 8:29

We are called to walk as Jesus walked. 1 John 2:6

We are called to love others because God is love and He first loved us. 1 John 4:16-21

The church must avoid tribalism. Luke 10:25-37; Gal 3:28; James 2:8-9

We are called to do good works. Eph 2:10; James 1:27; James 2:14-24; Matthew 25:34-40

Do we take the sermon on the mount seriously? Matthew 5-7
•Blessed are the peacemakers (5:9)
•Hunger/persecuted for justice/righteousness (5:6,10)
•Turn the other cheek (5:38-42)
•Go the extra mile (5:43-48)
•Do not lust/do not hate (5:21-25, 27-30)
•Give to the poor (6:1-4)
•Pray for your enemies (5:44, 6:12)
•Forgive others (6:12-15)
•Do not judge (7:1-6)

Christ has made us ambassadors of his kingdom with the ministry of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:18-20; Matthew 18:15-19

If you are “strong”, love those who are “weaker”. 1 Corinthians 8:9-13

Let your life be a reflection of Jesus’ Cruciform love. Romans 12:9-21
