Pride is at the root of all sin.

Humility is not humiliation. 

Psalm 8:5-6; Matthew 5:3, 5

Pride judges based on outcomes and expectations yet justifies its own behavior based on intentions.  


Pride focuses on  superficial appearances. 


Pride desires status, titles, and worldly power. Mark 10:35-45


Mercy, integrity, and servanthood are the way of Jesus.


Philippians 2:1-11


Humility leads to unity.


Jesus’ mindset concerning power was upside-down compared to that of the world. 

John 13:3-5,12-17


What will you do to crucify pride and clothe yourself in the humility of Christ?

1 Peter 5:5b-6
