Pure in Heart

Matthew 5:8

The human heart dictates human words and actions.

Information fed the heart by our human senses must be discerned before it is assimilated into our being. Matthew 6:22-23

A pure heart agrees with God and rejects all temptation against God’s will. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5

Israel is an example to the church of the opposite of a pure heart. 1 Corinthians 10:6-13, 2 Kings 17:41, Matthew 23:25-28, Luke 18:9-14

People cannot acquire pure hearts on their own.

“There is no way of seeing God until the heart is renewed by sovereign grace.” C. H. Spurgeon

The “When, where, and how” to see God is in constant debate. Genesis 32:30, John 1:18, 2 Peter 1:16-18, 1st John 4:12-13

Seeds in the heart will spill out, sprout, grow, and bear fruit after their own kind.

Logic compels me to seek God for a pure heart in order to see God.
